Perhaps you know me through homeschooling, or perhaps you are a reader of True to You. Or perhaps you are a complete stranger, stumbling into this strange world for the first time. Whichever the case may be, I'd like to welcome you to my blog!!
I've always been rather awkward at introductions. They never really were my thing. I either didn't know what to say at all and thus said too little or I ranted for much too long and as a result said too much. I'll try to find the happy medium for y'all, though.
I'm Mercy! I used to be a homeschooled high school senior, but now I'm actually a scared little freshman at Christendom College (one of the most beautiful places in the entire world and if you don't believe me, pay me a visit). If personality types mean anything to you, I'm an ISFJ (introverted sensing feeling judging), but I do waver in between this personality and the INFJ (introverted intuitive feeling judging). But really, that doesn't help you get to know me at all, does it? Well, I love music. I'm constantly singing, humming, or listening to music. (You should see my Spotify account.) I have a strong affinity for quotes; you will see my blog posts splattered with them. I have logolepsy and suffer from a fear of tacenda. I've always enjoyed school (been called a nerd more than once). I'm a fervent bibliophile and a passionate pianist. My Kindle is filled with both classic books and recent novels. I rather like descriptive words as I'm sure you will realize. I prefer cool seasons to warm ones. Teal blue, bright purple, and lime green are my favorite colors, but honestly, I love practically all colors. I have an abundant amount of really nerdy jokes which I'm sure you will subjected to in the future. Happiness, hugs, laughter and smiles are my absolute favorite things in life. Oh, and chocolate, too. And if you haven't noticed, I love parentheses.
What are you going to be seeing on my blog? Well, if you are familiar with True to You, you already know that I posted on various subjects, from music to fashion to advice to my life. This blog, while it will probably cover all those topics, will mainly focus on the last: my life. To concisely summarize my ideas, this blog is my place. My place to talk, rant, tell stories, post pictures, to my heart's content. As a true introvert, I find that I can better word my ideas through writing rather than verbal communication. Yes, I'm actually quite talkative. In fact, ask about my friends on my college campus if they think I'm extroverted or introverted, and 78% of them will say I'm extroverted, which isn't right, though it may initially appear so. For things that matter the most to me, writing is my most effective approach.
